An AI email client is very good at everything the mailbox does around that draft — the triage before, the thread context during, and the follow-up after.

Where the ChatGPT window wins#
The chat window has three durable advantages that no inbox-native assistant can fully copy, and it is worth naming them plainly.
One, iteration is unbounded. You can paste a 3,000-word thread, argue with the first draft, ask for a version that says the same thing in fewer words, then a version that pushes back harder, then a version that is warmer. A compose window in a mail client is not designed for that shape of conversation. An AI email client is for you if the pain is volume and the mailbox itself, not any one draft. If you spend hours a day in email — founders, executives, account managers, agency owners, solo attorneys, real-estate agents, contractors, recruiters — the win is not that any single reply is better.
