Command palette
⌘K to jump to any thread, action, or view — instantly.
Press ⌘K anywhere in Aiemaily to open the command palette. Search threads, run actions, and navigate between views — no mouse required. Deferred filtering keeps it instant even across thousands of threads.
Opening the palette
Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) from any screen. The palette opens with focus in the search field. Start typing immediately — results appear in under 50 ms.
Press Escape to dismiss without taking action. The palette remembers your last query within the session.
Mouse-free navigation
What you can do from the palette
| Query / prefix | What it does |
|---|---|
| Any text | Searches thread subjects, senders, and snippets |
| > action | Filters to runnable actions (compose, archive, snooze…) |
| # label | Jumps to a label or filter view |
| @ contact | Opens threads with that contact or starts a compose to them |
| / view | Navigates to a named view (Inbox, Sent, Snoozed, VIPs…) |
| ⌘K → “Ask AI” | Opens the Ask AI panel pre-focused |
| ⌘K → “Brief” | Generates a living brief on demand |
Deferred filtering
The palette loads a compact index of your threads on first open and then filters it client-side as you type. This means results are instant regardless of how many threads you have — there is no network round-trip on each keystroke.
For semantic search (finding threads by meaning rather than exact text), type your query and press Enter or select “Search with Smart mode” to hand off to the full search view.
Instant by design
