Undo send
A window to pull any send back before it actually leaves.
Every send — yours or the AI agent’s — is held for a short window before it actually leaves your account. One tap during that window cancels the dispatch entirely.
The undo window
When a message is sent, Aiemaily holds it in a pending state for a configurable delay. A dismissible banner counts down the remaining time. If you tap “Undo” before the window closes, the message is marked cancelled and never dispatched. If the window expires without action, the message goes out normally.
The message is not delivered to the recipient until after the undo window has passed. From the recipient’s perspective, there is no visible delay.
How to undo a send
- 1
Send your message
Tap “Send” (or let Autopilot send on your behalf). The undo banner appears at the bottom of the screen.
- 2
Tap “Undo”
Tap the Undo button in the banner before the countdown reaches zero.
- 3
Message is cancelled
The message is marked undone. It is never dispatched. It returns to your Drafts as an unsent message you can edit or discard.
Act before the window closes
Undo send and Autopilot
The same undo window applies to sends initiated by Autopilot. When Aiemaily’s agent dispatches a reply or a follow-up autonomously, the undo banner still appears with a countdown. You can intercept any Autopilot send during that window exactly as you would your own.
This means Autopilot is never truly instantaneous from a delivery standpoint — the undo delay is a deliberate safety layer built into every autonomous action.
You tap Send. The undo banner appears. You have the configured window to tap Undo. If you do nothing, the message is dispatched normally.
Longer window for Autopilot
Configuring the undo window
The delay is set globally in Settings → Sending → Undo send window. Available values range from 5 to 30 seconds. The same value applies to all send types: manual, Copilot-confirmed, and Autopilot.
| Setting value | Best for |
|---|---|
| 5 seconds | Fast-moving workflows where you rarely need to undo |
| 10 seconds (default) | Most users — enough time to catch obvious mistakes |
| 30 seconds | Autopilot-heavy usage or high-stakes email contexts |
