Living brief

A scheduled, categorised digest of what needs you — in-app or to Slack/Telegram.

The AI Brief is a digest of your primary inbox: a greeting, an unread + “needs you” caught-up line, and your top 5 important threads — each with a short AI summary and a reply already drafted in your voice. It runs up to three times a day at hours you pick, and you can generate one on demand any time. Read it in-app, or have it pushed to Slack, Discord, or Telegram.

What the brief contains

The brief opens with a greeting and a caught-up line that tells you where you stand at a glance — how many unread messages you have and how many of them actually need you (for example, “12 unread · 3 needs you”). Below that it lists your top 5 important threads from the primary inbox.

Each of those threads gets a one-to-two line AI summary so you know what it’s about without opening it, plus a reply already drafted in your voice. The draft is there for you to review: open it, edit anything you want, and send. The brief never sends on its own.

Which mail it covers

The brief digests your primary inbox only. Social, Promotions, and Updates are deliberately excluded, so newsletters, notifications, and marketing mail don’t crowd out the messages that need a real response from you.

From that primary inbox it surfaces the five most important threads. The unread and “needs you” counts in the caught-up line reflect the same primary-inbox scope.

Primary inbox, not everything

If a message landed in Social, Promotions, or Updates, it won’t appear in the brief. The brief is tuned for the mail that genuinely needs your attention.

When it runs

By default the brief is generated once a day at 8:00 AM. You can choose up to three hours a day, and each one fires in your own timezone. Whenever you want one outside those hours, hit Generate for a fresh brief on the spot.

Where you read it

Open the Brief view to read the latest brief inside AI Emaily. Each of the top 5 threads shows its summary and drafted reply; open a draft to review, edit, and send it, or jump straight into the full thread.

How the drafts are written

Every drafted reply is grounded in your own writing. The brief uses your voice, your signature, and your client and context brain — the details AI Emaily knows about the people you talk to and the work you’re doing — so the draft reads like something you’d actually send, not a generic template.

Drafts are review-only — nothing auto-sends

The brief only ever prepares drafts. You open, edit, and send each one yourself; no email leaves your account without you pressing send.

Setting it up

  1. 1

    Pick your brief times

Open the Brief view and choose the hours you want a brief — up to three per day, in your timezone. Leave it at the 8:00 AM default if that works.

  2. 2

    Connect a channel (optional)

In Settings → Channels, connect Slack, Discord, or Telegram, toggle on “Morning brief”, and pick the delivery hour to have the brief pushed there.

  3. 3

Read the brief and send a reply

When a brief arrives, scan the caught-up line and the five summaries. Open a drafted reply, tweak it, and send — or open the full thread if you need more context.

  4. 4

    Generate on demand

Need a brief right now? Press Generate for a fresh digest of your primary inbox any time, without waiting for the next scheduled hour.
